Review of AT&T Internet Service

In 2016, AT&T began consolidating their Internet offerings. In the past, you could get either AT&T DSL or AT&T U-verse. As of 2017, they simply offer “AT&T Internet” and “AT&T Phone”.

The company also still offers TV service. However, ever since they acquired DIRECTV satellite television service, AT&T has made that it's primary TV offer. AT&T U-verse TV is being slowly phased out. So, right now, you can bundle AT&T Internet and AT&T Phone with DIRECTV.

The download speeds offered by AT&T Internet vary by location. Some customers will still be in areas that only offer DSL speeds. However, according to AT&T, over 80% of their customers have access to the faster speed tiers as of late 2016.

As of 2017, the fastest broadband Internet plan they offer is the “AT&T Internet GigaPower 1000”. This provides customers with download speeds up to 1 Gbps.
