Streaming videos to your computer requires a speedy of processor and a lot of memory. Unless you have a relatively new computer, do not expect to multitask while viewing streaming content. Radio and streaming music do not use as many processor resources as video and movies, but you may need to refresh your browser frequently to keep your stream properly synced with the content server.

Users may have to watch a couple of ads embedded in the content or they may be required to watch an ad before they can connect to their program of choice. Since ads have been around in most magazines and television for quite some time, this minor annoyance does not deter most streaming media devotees.
